HCLTech launched AI Force, a patented generative AI platform that aims to speed up the software development and engineering lifecycle — improving productivity, quality and release timelines. It is built on Azure OpenAI, can integrate with Microsoft GitHub Copilot, and is described as system-agnostic. HCLTech reports it is live with more than 25 enterprise clients.
HCLTech has since announced its entry into the full-stack AI market, to address the spectrum of opportunities from AI-led services and solutions across the private sector and government. The move is backed by a planned investment of up to ₹3,500 crore to set up AI data centres, with the potential to scale to 50 MW of capacity.
HCLTech also publishes its own view of IT market opportunities over the next decade on its corporate site; we link it below rather than restate its figures.
What this signals
- AI is moving down the stack — from tools and services into the infrastructure that runs them.
- Engineering-lifecycle AI (code, test, release) is where many providers see the first measurable gains.
- Platform claims are best validated on your own codebase and release process before scaling.
